"Little Greek"

Little Greek is owned and operated by Mona Orkoulas, Egyptian mother and Greek father. As a young girl, Mona would cook with her mother and grandmother traditional Mediterranean foods for Sunday dinners and holidays.  The kitchen aroma was foods such as seasoned lamb, baked Baklava and Dolmades, stuffed grape leaves.
Mona O has owned and operated, "Gyros 2 Go," in North and South Dakota, catering events. Even though a major success during Sturgis, the 32 below zero weather forced her back to Las Vegas, which has been home for 21 years. Once back in Las Vegas, the next mission was to open a brick and mortar. Funds were limited, but credit score was great. One would think, with an excellent business plan for food which makes the palette sing, a marketing plan of developing rapports and promising excellent customer service, getting funds would be easy.  Sadly, not the case. Banks, credit unions, friends and family all said, “Sorry, but no.” Mona would not allow the “No,” to stop her dream from being born. She saved a little money, used credit lines, and found a great location with reasonable rent to open, Simmons and Ann is where Little Greek began.

Little Greek creates food with flavor, zest and most important, the intention of goodness in every bite. We have the best Gyros from Grecian Delight called the Chicago style cone, cut off the vertical broiler, grilled for texture and enhances the flavors. The flavors make your taste buds scream,  OPA!  Dolmades, which is stuffed grape leaves filled with ground beef/rice and seasoning is amazingly delicious. Let's not forget the incomparable Greek salads which makes one's mouth sing. The spring lettuce is fresh as well as, plumped tomatoes, cucumbers, Kalamata olives, feta cheese, and the secret dressing is beyond amazing. The traditional pastry, Baklava is made in house with real honey, walnuts, and real butter, no corn syrup, no pretend foods.

LG is symbolic of the United States of America, families 30 years ago. Mom and Pop’s in small businesses supporting their families until Walmart arrived which altered our countries structure of how people work. Now it is a job verses small businesses because of the red tape/cost and difficulty to be self employed. Full stop here.
We look forward to serving the community of Las Vegas.
